     Jack Lavern Bartlett was born on 9 September 1935 at Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1 He was the son of Franklin H. Bartlett and Loie Luella Wright.3,1,2 Jack Lavern Bartlett married, at age 19, Marysue Shultz, age 16, daughter of Joseph Shultz and Thelma Johnson, on Saturday, 20 August 1955.3,2,1,4 Jack Lavern Bartlett died on 13 October 2018 at Divine Providence Hospital, The Gatehouse, Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 83 years, 1 month and 4 days.1,4 He was buried on 18 October 2018 in the Twin Hills Memorial Park, located in Fairfield Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. The funeral service was officiated by Reverend Timothy K. Hartzell.1
     Jack Lavern Bartlett graduated in 1953 from Montoursville High School, located in Montoursville, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1

     Jack Lavern was listed in Franklin H. Bartlett's obituary on 12 July 2003 in the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, as his son.3 As of November 2016, Jack Lavern Bartlett and Marysue Shultz lived in Muncy, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.2

     Jack Lavern Bartlett the brother of Mary Jo Bartlett was listed in her obituary on 17 November 2016 Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.2 His obituary was published on 15 October 2018 Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. His obituary stated:

     Jack Lavern Bartlett, 83, of Muncy, died Saturday, Oct. 13, 2018, at the Gatehouse, Williamsport.

     Born Sept. 9, 1935, in Williamsport, he was a son of the late Franklin and Loie (Wright) Bartlett. On Aug. 20, 1955, he married the former Marysue Gross, who survives. Together they celebrated 63 years of marriage.

     Jack was a graduate of Montoursville High School. Early in life, he worked at Acme Markets and Valley Farms. Jack also sold insurance for Washington National before becoming owner of Poly Grower Greenhouse Construction, LLC, Muncy.

     He was a former member of the Muncy Presbyterian Church and most recently attended Faith Wesleyan Church, Williamsport.

     Jack enjoyed the outdoors camping at the family river lot, as well as fly fishing and hunting. He was also a great card player and cherished time spent with his family.

     Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters and sons-in-law, Holly and Lon Singer, of Montoursville, and Heidi and Rodger Emery, of Riverside; one brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Barbara Bartlett, of Montoursville; 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

     In addition to his parents, he was predeceased two sons, Scott and Steven Bartlett; and one sister, Mary Jo Hiller.

     Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy, where the funeral will be held at 11 a.m. with Pastor Tim Hartzell, officiating.

     Burial will follow in Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy.

     Marysue Shultz's obituary on 4 December 2019 Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, stated that Jack Lavern Bartlett was her husband and preceeded her in death.4
