Robert E. Knauss1

     Robert E. Knauss was born on 23 July 1938 at Woodward Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1 He was the son of Jack L. Knauss and Ethel F. Carpenter.1 Robert E. Knauss married, at age 18, Patricia A. Dibble on Saturday, 23 February 1957.1 Robert E. Knauss died on 17 March 2003 at Williamsport Hospital, Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 64 years, 7 months and 22 days.1 He was buried on 21 March 2003 in the Green Lawn Memorial Park, located in Montgomery, Clinton Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1
     His obituary was published on 19 March 2003 in the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. His obituary stated:

     Mr. Robert E. Knauss, 64, 628 Main St., South Williamsport, died Monday, March 17, 2003, at the Williamsport Hospital and Medical Center, surrounded by his attentive and loving family.

     Mr. Knauss was a graduate of the Williamsport High School and former Williamsport Technical Institute, Class of 1957.

     He was a self-employed master plumber.

     Robert was a member at the Linden United Methodist Church. He was also a member of Masonic Lodge #106, F&AM, Williamsport. He had been a former member at Zafar Grotto, South Williamsport and the Loyal Order of Moose #145.

     Robert enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.

     Born July 23, 1938, at Woodward Township, Lycoming County, near Linden, he was the son of the late Jack and Ethel Carpenter Knauss.

     He and his wife, the former Patricia A. Dibble, were married Feb. 23, 1957. Together they observed 46 years of marriage.

     Surviving in addition to his wife, at South Williamsport, are three daughters, Robin E. (Fred) Fuess of Montoursville, Laurie J. (Harold) Winters-Lehman of Oriole and Kristine L. (Andrew) Miller of South Williamsport; three brothers, Leonard Knauss of Montoursville and Jack and Jeffery Knauss, both at Linden; seven grandchildren, Robert, Jennifer, Laura, Freddy, Melissa, Tony and Samantha; and one great-grandson, Zachary.

     Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 21, at the Charles M. Noll Funeral Home, 1 E. Central Ave., South Williamsport. Interment will be at Green Lawn Memorial Park, Montgomery. Relatives and friends may call at the Noll Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. A Masonic service will be provided. The family will provide the flowers.
