Elmer Ignatius Otis

     Elmer Ignatius Otis was born on 27 February 1830 at Westfield, Hampden County, Massachusetts.¹ He married, at age 31, Agnes Reid Boone, age 20, daughter of Albert Gallatin Boone and Ann Reid Hamilton, on Thursday, 24 October 1861 at Fort Lyon, Bent County, Colorado.¹ Elmer Ignatius Otis died on 18 August 1897 at San Diego, San Diego County, California, at age 67 years, 5 months and 22 days.¹
     He was was a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Army in 1880. He and Agnes Reid Boone appeared on the census of 3 June 1880 at Fort Abraham Lincoln, Burleigh County, Dakota Territory, USA.
