Delbert A. Nupp was born on 3 September 1916. He married Kathleen Lucille Schooler, daughter of Elmer Cecile Schooler and Maude Leslie White, in 1940. Delbert A. Nupp died on 20 December 2004 at Raymond, Pacific County, Washington, at age 88 years, 3 months and 17 days.
His obituary was published on 21 December 2004 in the Daily World, printed in Grays Harbor County, Washington. His obituary stated:
SOUTH BEND - Lifelong Willapa Harbor resident Delbert A. Nupp of Raymond, a member of Pacific County Trout Unlimited who had also served on the Pacific County Planning Commission, died Monday, Dec. 20, 2004, in the Willapa Harbor Hospital at South Bend. He was 88.
Mr. Nupp was born Sept. 3, 1916, in Raymond to Daniel M. and Charlotte (Varner) Nupp. He served in the Marine Corps Reserve from 1934 to 1938.
In 1940, he married Kathleen L. Schooler at South Bend. She died in 2001.
Mr. Nupp had worked as a heavy equipment mechanic for the Weyerhaeuser Co. and was retired. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing and beach combing at Tokeland.
He is survived by a daughter, Karen Porembski of Snohomish; a sister, Eileen White of Raymond; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A graveside service is set for 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 23, in the Menlo cemetery. Arrangements are by Stoller's Mortuary of Raymond.
