Joseph Edward Yoakum was born on 31 December 1925 at Kingston, Caldwell County, Missouri. He was the son of Charles Irvin Yoakum and Lola Susan Helm. Joseph Edward Yoakum married, at age 23, Wilma Kincaid, daughter of James Franklin Kincaid and Sylvania Brookshire, on Thursday, 21 April 1949. Joseph Edward Yoakum died on 5 April 2002 at Liberty Hospital, Richmond, Ray County, Missouri, at age 76 years, 3 months and 4 days. He was buried on 8 April 2002 in the Richmond Memorial Gardens Cemetery, located in Richmond, Ray County, Missouri.

JOSEPH EDWARD YOAKUM
Joseph Edward 'Joe' Yoakum, 76, Richmond, Mo., died at 3 a.m. Friday, April 5, 2002 at the Liberty Hospital.
Mr. Yoakum was born Dec. 31, 1925, Kingston, Mo. to Charles and Lola (Helm) Yoakum. He married Wilma Kincaid, April 21, 1949; she survives of the home.
Mr. Yoakum was a service manager for Vaughn Wollard Motor Company for 30 years. He also sold real estate in the Richmond area for several years. He was a member of the Henrietta First Baptist Church and the American Legion Post #237, Richmond, Mo. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He had lived in Richmond most of his life.
Survivors include one daughter, Sara Fowler, McFall, Mo; one brother, Loren Yoakum, Aurora, Mo; four sisters, Velda Louder, San Diego, Calif; Betty Sackman, Topeka, Kan., Jean Kinne, Hamilton, Mo. and Marjorie Dawd, Moab, Utah; one grandson, Aaron Stonner; and one great grandson, Morgan Stonner.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Charles Yoakum, Hughlen Yoakum and Harold Yoakum; two sisters, Ruth Lewellen and his twin sister, Josephine Yoakum, who died in infancy.
Funeral services will be Monday, April 8, at 2 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home, Richmond, Mo. Visitation will be tonight, April 8 at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Richmond Memory Gardens.
