     Richard Delmont Sholder was born on 8 March 1934 at Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.7,8,5 He was the son of Frederick Oscar Sholder and Ethel Irene Pryor.7,2 Richard Delmont Sholder was baptized, at age 7 years, 1 month and 5 days, on Sunday, 13 April 1941 at Bethel United Presbyterian Church, Bottle Run, Old Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.8 He married, at age 22, Alice Marie Andrews, age 19, daughter of LeRoy W. Andrews and Helen Murphy, on Saturday, 11 August 1956.7,6 Richard Delmont Sholder died on 26 May 2006 at Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 72 years, 2 months and 18 days.7,5 He was buried on 5 June 2006 in section R, lot 1058, in the Green Lawn Memorial Park, located in Montgomery, Clinton Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. The funeral service was performed by Stuart T. Hague.7
     Richard Delmont Sholder was in military service with the Navy during the Korean War sometime between 1950 and 1953.7 He and Alice Marie Andrews lived at 669 Sholder Road, Williamsport, Pennsylvania, between 1970 and 2006.7 Richard Delmont Sholder retired in 1995 from Textron Lycoming.7

     Richard Delmont was listed in the obituary for Ethel Irene Pryor, in April 1998 in the local paper, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, as her son.2 His obituary was published on 28 May 2006 in the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. His obituary stated:

     Richard D. "Dick" [Delmont] Sholder, 72, of 669 Sholder Road, died Friday, May 26, 2006 at home following an extended illness.

     He and his wife, the former A. Marie Andrews, would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 11.

     Dick retired from Textron Lycoming in 1995 following 30 years of service. He had also run a garbage route for many years.

     He was a member of the Bethel Presbyterian Church and enjoyed working in his yard. Dick also served in the Navy during the Korean War.

     Born March 8, 1934 in Williamsport, he was a son of Frederic O. and Ethel I. Pryor Sholder.

     Surviving, in addition to his wife, are sons, R. Dale (Sherrie) of city and Kenneth E. (Laurie) of Glenmoore; daughter, Dalene M. (Ron) Webb of Berwick; brother, Robert W. (Janice) of city; grandchildren, Travis, Chelsey, Jake and Cory Sholder, Jessica McGrantham and Lindsey and Cassandra Webb; great granddaughter, McKenna McGrantham and several nieces and nephews.

     A son, Keith LaRue, and grandson, Blake Aaron Sholder, predeceased him.

     A memorial service will be held 12 noon Saturday, June 3, at his church, 2758 Bottle Run Road, Williamsport, with Stuart T. Hague officiating.

     A church luncheon will immediately follow and interment will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park at 10 a.m. on June 5. No visitation. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the church.7
According to the Social Security Administrations Death Index Richard's last known residence was Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.5
