Jim was a proud life member of the National Rifle Association. He was also a proud member of the Pennsylvania Trappers Association, where he had served as secretary-treasurer, district director and Lycoming County Leader of District 7.
He was also a past member of the National Trappers Association, the Fur Takers of America, a social member of the American Legion Post #268, Muncy, and the S.O.L. Club of Williamsport.
He loved the outdoors, trapping, camping, fishing and hunting.
Surviving are his son, James A. Parsons of York; a brother, Richard L. Kelley of Williamsport; and two sisters, Mrs. Thomas M. (Peg) Pittenger of Williamsport and Pat Thrasher of Mount Lake Terrace, Wash.
Honoring his wishes, there will be no services. The family will provide the flowers.
His favorite saying was, "Take it easy," so to you we say, "Take it easy, Dad, Brother, Uncle, and mostly good friend. We will miss you." Love, all of us.2
