Ralph Lewis Eckenstein Jr.

Ralph Lewis Eckenstein Jr. was born in 1918. He was the son of Ralph Lewis Eckenstein.1 Ralph Lewis Eckenstein Jr. married Ann Pattee Manson, daughter of Frederick Ernest Manson and Catherine Pauline Rentz, circa 1946. Ralph Lewis Eckenstein Jr. died on 2 November 1955 at Camp Hill, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, at age 37 years.1 He was buried on 4 November 1955 in the Wildwood Cemetery, located in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. The funeral service was officiated by Reverend Spencer B. Smith.1
Ralph Lewis Eckenstein Jr. was employed by the Eastman Kodak Company at Rochester, Monroe County, New York.1 His obituary was published on 3 November 1955 in the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. His obituary stated:
Private services will be held in the chapel of Wildwood Cemetery at 2 p.m. Friday for Ralph L. Eckenstein Jr., who died at Camp Hill on Wednesday. The Rev. Spencer B. Smith, Camp Hill Presbyterian pastor, will officiate.
Mr. Eckenstein, who was 37 and a World War II veteran, formerly resided in Williamsport. He was an employee of the Eastman Kodak Co. at Rochester NY. He was a member of Huguenot Lodge No. 377 F&AM, Kutztown, and the Rochester Consistory.1 Death was caused by "fulminating pneumonia," according to the cemetery records.1 His obituary was published on 6 November 1955 in the Williamsport Sunday Grit, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. His obituary stated:
Funeral services were held here Friday for Ralph L. Eckenstein, Jr., former Williamsport resident who died Wednesday, Nov. 2, 1955, at his Camp Hill home. His father, the late Ralph Eckenstein, Sr., was associated with the Burroughs' Corporation of this city. Mr. Eckenstein was a member of Camp Hill Presbyterian Church and Masonic orders.
Surviving are his wife, the former Ann Manson; two sons, Eric and Gregory, both of this city, and his mother, Mrs. R. L. Eckenstein.1
