     Burl E. VanBibber was born on 15 May 1922. He was the son of Laurel Raymond VanBibber and Faye Zola Gallentine. Burl E. VanBibber married Dorothy [—?—] circa 1948. Burl E. VanBibber died on 2 November 2000 at Albuquerque, Bonalillo County, New Mexico, at age 78 years, 5 months and 18 days. He was buried on 6 November 2000.

BURL E. VAN BIBBER

Burl E. VanBibber 'Van,' 78, a resident of Albuquerque died Thursday, November 2, 2000. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy VanBibber of Albuquerque; children, Teresa A. Stevens and husband, Robert of Albuquerque, Marilyn 'DiDi' Shaffer and husband, William of El Paso, TX, Michael L. VanBibber and wife, Beverly of Albuquerque, Patrick A. VanBibber of Houston, TX, and Clinton J. VanBibber of California; grandchildren, June A. Smith and husband, Andy, Sharon K. Uribe and husband, Arturo, Jr., Michelle L. Thomas and husband, Bob; Deborah J. Montgomery and husband, Mark, Suzanne D. Shaffer, Alyssandra M. Shaffer and Sarah VanBibber; great-granddaughter, Kayla A. Uribe; sister, Twila Bennett of Missouri and Mary Lou Rivera and husband, Joe of Arizona.

He served in the Marine Corp during World War II, and was injured on Saipan. Mr. VanBibber returned to Albuquerque where he worked for AT&T for 44 years. He was a member of VFW #431, Military Order of the Purple Heart and Marine Corp League.

Memorial services will be held Monday, 12:00 p.m. at Paradise Hills United Methodist Church, 4700 Paradise Blvd. NW, with Pastor David Snyman officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Telephone Pioneers of America Museum, 201 3rd NW, 87102. French Mortuary-Westside, 9300 Golf Course Rd. NW.
