She was buried in the Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens, located in Glasgow Landing, Jasper County, South Carolina.

COAL CITY - Adgie May Humphrey, 93, of Coal City, Raleigh County, formerly of Alta, died Dec. 2, 1999, in Raleigh General Hospital, Beckley. She was a homemaker and a member of Alta First Church of God.
Surviving: daughter, Verna Mae Underwood of Coal City; sisters, Ethel Humphrey of Alta, Marie Anders of Crossville, Tenn., Mazie Mullins of Clendenin, Frances Clapp of Danville, Ill; brothers, Elzie and Elbert Preast, both of Gauley Bridge, Donald Preast of Ansted; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Pennington Funeral Home, Gauley Bridge, with the Rev Paul Young officiating. Burial will be in Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens, Glasgow. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
