James Calvin Poff was born on 20 August 1853 at Pulaski County, Kentucky.1 He was the son of Charles Cornelius Poff and Hannah Marguarete VanBebber.1 James Calvin Poff married, at age 26, Martha Ann Hazeltine Coffey, age 23, daughter of James Coffey and Elizabeth [—?—], on Sunday, 1 February 1880. James Calvin Poff died on 30 July 1918 at Albany, Gentry County, Missouri, at age 64 years, 11 months and 10 days.1
