Fred Robertson

     Fred Robertson was born on 2 July 1913 at Claiborne County, Tennessee. He was the son of Shell Robertson and Virginia Tolliver. Fred Robertson married Geneva Hawk. Fred Robertson married Dessie Beeler. Fred Robertson married Mary Yoakum, daughter of John William Yoakum and Edna Marsee, circa 1939. Fred Robertson died on 22 March 1999 at Knoxville, Knox County, Tennessee, at age 85 years, 8 months and 20 days. He was buried in the Greasy Hollow Cemetery, located in Knox County, Tennessee.

ROBERTSON, FRED - age 85, of Speedwell, passed away March 22, 1999, in Knoxville. Born July 2, 1913, in Claiborne County, Tenn. Member of Shady Grove Baptist Church. Preceded in death by: parents, Shell Robertson and Virginia Tolliver; wives, Mary Yoakum, Geneva Hawk and Dessie Beeler; infant daughter, Wilma Jean; son, Bill Robertson; three brothers, Kenneth Tolliver, Carl Shipley and Carl Robertson; and two grandchildren.

Survivors: son, LeeRoye Robertson, Speedwell; daughters, Betty Lou Meade, New Tazewell, Eulla Gray, Cumberland Gap, Virginia Barnett, Speedwell; brother, J.C. Tolliver, Williamsburg, Ky; sisters, Frankie Bryant, Williamsburg, Ky., EllaMae Lee, Powell, Louise Smith, Speedwell; eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Reece Valley Chapel with Rev. Ralph Mundy and Rev. Carl Edwards officiating. Burial in Greasy Hollow Cemetery. Pallbearers are friends of the family. Visitation 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at Reece Funeral Home and Valley Chapel, 869-3651 or 626-4249.
