ROGERS, MAYME EMILY WILLIAMS - age 88, of Knoxville, passed away Thursday, January 20, 2000. She was a member of the Farragut Chapter of Eastern Star, and was also a member of Parkwest Church of God.
Mrs. Rogers was a retired LPN. She was preceded in death by her husband, Millard J. Rogers; mother and father, Hayes and Mary Van Bebber Williams; daughter, Phyllis Ann Rogers; sisters, Martha Disney, Leona Dunn, Ada Davis, Mattie Ausmus, and Myrtle Yoakum; brothers, James Williams and George Williams. She is survived by her loving family, daughters and sons-in-laws, June and Jack Hopper, Deloros and Phillip Harris; sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy and Judy Rogers, and John and Juanita Rogers. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Danna Hopper, Jason Rogers, Kevin Rogers, Lukas Rogers, Dennis Rogers, Mickey Ryan, Matthew Barker, and Tim Barker. Honorary pallbearers will be Tony Harris, Michael Ryan, Matthew Hopper, David Ackerman, Caleb Rogers, and Christopher Hopper.
The family will receive friends Sunday, January 23, 2000 1:30-3 p.m. at Highland West Funeral Home. Services will be held at 3 p.m. at the funeral home chapel with Rev. Gerald McGinnin officiating and Dr. Jimmy Bell officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Highland West Cemetery. Highland West in charge of arrangements.
