LIFORD, WILLIS H. - age 87, of LaFollette, passed away Wednesday, May 26, 1999 at The LaFollette Medical Center. Mr. Liford accepted the Lord as his Savior in his late years. He loved to spend time with his family. He also loved to fish and hunt.
He is preceded in death by parents, Crockett and Nellie Cowan Liford; brothers, Henry and Neal Liford and sister, Edna Liford Minton. He is survived by one brother, Joseph Liford of Kalamazoo, MI; sisters, Ola Bowman of LaFollette, Jennie Merldine Stokes of Kalamazoo, MI, Jessie Gerldine Bargo of Sandwood, MI, Willie Jean 'Billie' Brantley of Knoxville and Evelyn Burke of Kokomo, IN; several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be 8:00 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Martin Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Hicks and Rev. Charles Goins officiating. Interment will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday at The Red Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 6-8 p.m. before services. Martin Funeral Home of LaFollette in charge of arrangements.
