Eliphus Ross was born on 26 January 1869 at Flat Gap, Kentucky. He was the son of David Ross Jr. and Martha Jayne. Eliphus Ross married Cora B. Grimsley circa 1894. Eliphus Ross died on 22 May 1937 at Paintsville, Johnson County, Kentucky, at age 68 years, 3 months and 26 days. He was buried in the Ross Cemetery, located in Johnson County, Kentucky.
