Carl L. Cohick was born on 11 September 1925. He was the son of Frank Abraham Cohick and Hattie M. Robinson. Carl L. Cohick married Beatrice L. Mulberger circa 1943. Carl L. Cohick died on 17 February 2018 at age 92 years, 5 months and 6 days. He was buried on 24 February 2018 in the Wildwood Cemetery, located in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.
His obituary was published on 20 February 2018 in the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. His obituary stated:
Carl L. Cohick, Sr., 92, of Williamsport, left this world loving you, on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at the Gatehouse of Divine Providence Hospital. He was preceded in death by his wife of 73 years, Beatrice L. (Mulberger) Cohick, on November 14, 2016.
Born September 11, 1925 in Salladasburg, he was a son of the late Frank A. and Hattie M. (Robinson) Cohick.
Carl served his country in the Army-Air Force during World War II and retired from the Pennsylvania Gas and Water Company after 35 years of service. He was a lifelong member of St. Paul-Calvary United Methodist Church and also a member of F&AM Lodge #106 and the Williamsport Consistory. Carl enjoyed hunting and fishing, working with stained glass and photography. His pride and joy was his family.
Surviving are four children, Mary E. Szuhaj, of Williamsport, Carol L. (James) Steele, of Towanda, Carl L. (Jeannine) Cohick, Jr., of Muncy, and S. Jean Cohick, of South Williamsport; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by six brothers, William, Rueben, Earl, Howard, Donald, and F. Elmer Cohick and seven sisters, Nellie Grove, Helen Mingle, Carrie Cohick, Ruth Grugan, Florence Confair, Dorothy Corson and Loretta Carpenter.
A funeral service to honor the life of Carl will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, February 24, at St. Paul Calvary United Methodist Church, 1427 Memorial Ave. Williamsport with Rev. Jennett Wertz, officiating. Burial will follow in Wildwood Cemetery. A viewing will be held 6-8 p.m. Friday, February 23, 2018 at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St. Williamsport, PA 17701.
