Clarence S. Cohick was born on 23 February 1911 at Anthony Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.3,2 He was the son of Ira Calvin Cohick and Anna Bryan.3 Clarence S. Cohick married Muriel C. Hafer, daughter of Irvin Hafer and Esther Ann Hoffa, in 1940.4,1,3 Clarence S. Cohick died on 12 January 1999 at Williamsport Hospital, Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 87 years, 10 months and 20 days.2,3 He was buried on 18 January 1999 in the Woodward Township Cemetery, located in Woodward Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. The funeral service was officiated by Reverend Richard A. Clark.3
He became a widower at the age of 83 with the death of Muriel on 19 July 1994.3,5 His obituary was published on 13 January 1999 in the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. His obituary stated:
Clarence S. Cohick, 87, of Williamsport RR 2 died Tuesday, Jan. 12, 1999, at Williamsport Hospital.
His wife of 54 years, the former Murriel C. Hafer, died July 19, 1994.
He had worked for the former Sweet Steel Co. and as a carpenter. An Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of Garrett Cochran Post 1, American Legion. Cohick was a charter member of Woodward Township Fire Co.
Born Feb. 23, 1911, in Anthony Township, he was a son of Ira C. and Anna Bryan Cohick.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Sanders', 821 Diamond St., with the Rev. Richard A. Clark of Newberry United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Woodward Township Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday.3 The Social Security Death Index gives the last residence of record for Clarence as Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.2
