     Samuel Updegraff Foresman was born on 30 January 1913 at Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1 He was the son of George Pendleton Foresman and Harriet Bricker. Samuel Updegraff Foresman married, at age 23, Jeannette Louise Schmoll, age 18, daughter of William J. Schmoll and Elsie Holdorf, on Friday, 13 November 1936 at Valparaiso, Porter County, Indiana.1
