     Bruce A. Metzger was born on 23 January 1917 at Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.3,1 He was the son of Lloyd F. Metzger and Alice Jeanette Paulhamus.2 Bruce A. Metzger married, at age 21, Helen E. Sechrist, daughter of Walter S. Sechrist and Alice E. [—?—], on Friday, 22 April 1938.3,2 Bruce A. Metzger died on 27 May 1997 at Williamsport Hospital, Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 80 years, 4 months and 4 days.3,1 He was buried on 30 May 1997 in the State Road United Methodist Church Cemetery, located in Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.3
     He was a brick mason.3 He was a Navy veteran of World War II, he was a member of Garrett Cochran Post 1, American Legion. He was a member of Lodge 106, F&AM, the Irem Temple in Wilkes-Barre and Zafar Grotto. He was also a 65 year member of St. John's United Methodist Church.3
