Jacob Sweeley was born on 5 May 1795 at Pfullingen, Oberamt Reutlingen, Schwarzwaldkreis, Württemberg.2 He was the son of George Sweeley and Gottlieben Bautal.3 Jacob Sweeley married Rosanna Kiess, daughter of Johann George Kiess and Dorothea Gohl, in 1817.1,2 Jacob Sweeley died on 19 January 1875 at Loyalsock Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 79 years, 8 months and 14 days.2
