Hiram P. Dangle

M, (11 August 1881 - 22 November 1965)
     Hiram P. Dangle was born on 11 August 1881 at Eldred Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of George Dangle and Mary Catherine Mosteller. Hiram P. Dangle married Hannah Ann Waltz, daughter of Johann Wilhelm Waltz and Louise Heim, circa 1909. Hiram P. Dangle died on 22 November 1965 at Divine Providence Hospital, Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 84 years, 3 months and 11 days.1 He was buried on 24 November 1965 in the Twin Hills Memorial Park, located in Fairfield Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1
     His obituary was published sometime in November 1965 His obituary stated:

     HIRAM P. DANGLE

Hiram P. Dangle, 86, of 43 Hoffman Street, died in the Divine Providence Hospital at 1:30 a.m. today, Monday, November 22, 1965.

Mr. Dangle taught in the rural schools of the county for 49 years. He was a resident of Williamsport for 55 years.

He was born in Eldred Township, the son of George and Catherine Mosteller Dangle.

Mr. Dangle was a member of the Knights of Malta, the Montoursville Lodge of Odd Fellows, and the Warrensville Grange. He was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Surviving are his son, Earl, of Montoursville RD; three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; one brother, William, Montoursville, and one sister, Mrs. Elsie Schooley, South Williamsport.

The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Sanders', 821 Diamond Street. The Rev. Paul D. Schroeder, pastor of the Faxon-Kenmar Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Twin Hills Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
