Eunice E. Eckoff1

Eunice E. Eckoff was born on 20 March 1920 at Cincinnati, Hamilton County, Ohio.1 She was the daughter of August Eckoff and Emma Backscheider.1 Eunice E. Eckoff married, at age 25, Dwight Eugene Waltz, son of Harry Elmer Waltz and Martha Baier, on Saturday, 10 November 1945 at Christ the King Catholic Church, Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee.1 Eunice E. Eckoff died on 20 February 2007 at Williamsport Home, Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 86 years and 11 months.1
Her obituary was published on 21 February 2007 in the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Her obituary stated:
Eunice E. Waltz, 86, of 1900 Ravine Rd., Williamsport and formerly of Montoursville, died on Feb. 20, 2007, at the Williamsport Home.
Born on March 12, 1920, in Cincinnati, Ohio, she was the daughter of August and Emma Backscheider Eckoff.
She and her husband Dr. Dwight E. Waltz were married Nov. 10, 1945 in Christ the King Catholic Church, Nashville, Tenn. She assisted her husband in his dental practice in Montoursville. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Williamsport Country Club, Williamsport Women’s Club, Ravine Chapter Senior Citizens Club, Ladies Auxiliary of Lycoming County Dental Society, Montoursville Garden Club and attended Belmont College in Nashville.
Surviving besides her husband is a sister, Patricia Bitter of Cincinnati, and nieces and nephews.
Predeceasing her was a sister, Claire Safford.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 12 noon, Friday, Feb. 23, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 100 Walnut St., Montoursville with the Rev. Leo J. McKernan as celebrant. Burial will follow in Wildwood Cemetery and there will be a visitation from 11:30 a.m. to 12 noon at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the church. Arrangements are by Spitler Funeral Home, Montoursville.1
