Ezra Walter Stoltz was born on 10 March 1881 at Cogan Station, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1 He was the son of William Stoltz and Mary Ann Ulmer. Ezra Walter Stoltz married, at age 31, Zola Laverne Eckard, age 27, daughter of John W. Eckard and Celestia Kerr, on Wednesday, 12 February 1913.1 Ezra Walter Stoltz died on 16 December 1948 at Jerome, Idaho, at age 67 years, 9 months and 6 days.2 He was buried in the Heim Cemetery, located in Dawson, Richardson County, Nebraska.
Ezra's sister Mae took care of the children after the death of his wife Zola. He moved to Peru, Nebraska in 1924. Then to Onaga, Kansas in 1930. He finally returned to Jerome, Idaho in early 1948. He was a farmer.
