Martha Jane Carter married, at age 18, Henry Emery Bartholomew, age 25 on Thursday, 2 September 1869 at Andrew County, Missouri. Martha Jane Carter died on 7 February 1926 at Gentry County, Missouri, at age 75 years, 2 months and 29 days. She was buried Whitesville, Andrew County, Missouri.
