Buddy Jasper Queen

     Buddy Jasper Queen was born on 29 June 1937 at Runnels County, Texas.¹ He was the son of Bud Queen and Bonnie Jewell VanBebber.¹ Buddy Jasper Queen first married, at age 19, Barbara E. [—?—] (w/Buddy Jasper Queen) on Saturday, 25 August 1956. Buddy Jasper Queen and Barbara E. [—?—] (w/Buddy Jasper Queen) were divorced on 10 January 1969 at Ward County, Texas. Buddy Jasper Queen married a second time, at age 37, Margaret A. [—?—] (w/Buddy Jasper Queen) on Monday, 29 July 1974. Buddy Jasper Queen and Margaret A. [—?—] (w/Buddy Jasper Queen) were divorced on 23 February 1984 at Tom Green County, Texas. Buddy Jasper Queen married a third time, at age 47, Judith I. Daugherty on Friday, 8 February 1985 at Tom Green County, Texas. Buddy Jasper Queen died on 13 February 2009 at Bronte, Coke County, Texas, at age 71 years, 7 months and 12 days.¹
     His obituary was published on 2 February 2009 in the Standard-Times, printed in San Angelo, Tom Green County, Texas. His obituary stated:

     BRONTE - Buddy J. Queen, 71, of Bronte passed away peacefully Friday, Feb. 13, 2009, at Bronte Health and Rehab Center. A memorial service is at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 16, at the First Baptist Church of Bronte. Services are under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home. Buddy was born June 29, 1937, in Cruz Runnels County, Texas, to Bud and Jewel Queen. He attended school in Winters, Texas, and graduated from high school at San Angelo Central High School. He was preceded in death by both of his parents and an aunt. Buddy is survived by three sons, Terry Queen and wife Danielle of Bronte, Jimmy Queen and wife Jana of Lynchburg, Va., and Jerry Queen of Lynchburg; four granddaughters, Kaci and Keely Queen, and Kayla and Brittany Queen; one grandson, Michael Queen; and three great-grandchildren, Braden, Emma and Bella. He is also survived by his sister, Jean Groman of Abilene. The family would like to thank Bronte Health & Rehab Center, Vista Care Hospice, and Myron Halford.
