Mary K. Roller was born on 24 December 1924 at South Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1 She was the daughter of Clarence Wesley Roller and Mabel F. Zeifle.2,1,3 Mary K. Roller married, at age 21, Raymond C. Spotts, age 29, son of Leonard Spotts and Mary Bachman, on Thursday, 22 August 1946.1 Mary K. Roller died on 9 March 2015 at Bath, Northampton County, Pennsylvania, at age 90 years, 2 months and 13 days.1 She was buried in the Wildwood Cemetery, located in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1
She was widowed at age 68 by the death of Raymond on 10 July 1993.4,5 Her obituary was published on 11 March 2015 in the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Her obituary stated:
Mary R. Spotts, 90, longtime resident of South Williamsport, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2015, at Bath, Pa.
Mary was a member of the South Williamsport United Methodist Church and was a former treasurer at the church for 25 years.
Mary retired in 1981 from the former Bank of South Williamsport as an office secretary.
She was a member of the Class of 1943 from South Williamsport High School.
She was a member of the Williamsport Hospital Auxillary and enjoyed gardening and landscaping. She also enjoyed cooking and baking.
Born Dec. 24, 1924, at Williamsport, she was the daughter of the late Clarence W. and Mary F. Ziefle Roller.
Surviving are her two daughters, Linda (James) Troop, of Macungie, and M. Susan (Wayne) Wasem, of Bethlehem; her brother, Henry (Nancy) Roller, of South Williamsport; and her four sisters, Lillian Simpson, of South Williamsport, Ruth Roller, of South Williamsport, Dorothy (James) Ennis, of Wysox, and Martha Hummel, of Cogan Station.
She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and her daughter-in- law, Linda Spotts, of Cogan Station.
In addition to her late parents, she was also preceded in death by her late husband, Raymond C. Spotts, and her son, Raymond C. Spotts Jr.
In keeping with her wishes, her funeral service and burial will be private at the convenience of the family. There will be no visitation or viewing. Interment will be in Wildwood Cemetery, Williamsport. The family declines to receive floral tributes.1
