Mary Louise Stabler was born on 5 March 1922 at Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.2 She was the daughter of Wallace Merle Stabler and Dora B. Guinter.1 Mary Louise Stabler married, at age 21, Frederick Arthur Messner, age 21, son of Arthur Phillip Messner and Florence Etta Heyler, on Tuesday, 18 May 1943 at Home of Wallace M. Stabler, 1783 Memorial Avenue, Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, by the Reverend Alvin Kessler.1 Mary Louise Stabler died on 5 April 2003 at Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 81 years and 1 month.2 She was buried on 8 April 2003 in section B, lot 291, in the Green Lawn Memorial Park, located in Montgomery, Clinton Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.
As of January 1992, Mary Louise Stabler and Frederick Arthur Messner lived at 1520 East 3rd Street, Williamsport, Pennsylvania.1 Her obituary was published on 6 April 2003 in the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Her obituary stated:
M. Louise Messner, 81, of 1520 E. Third St., died Saturday, April 5, 2003, at home. She and her husband Fred A. Messner would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on May 18.
Born March 5, 1922, in Williamsport, she was the daughter of Wallace and Dora Guinter Stabler.
Louise was a 1940 graduate of Williamsport High School. She was a member of Faxon-Kenmer United Methodist Church and the Susquehanna Region of the Antique Car Club. She enjoyed cooking and going for a ride in the mountains.
Surviving in addition to her husband are four sons, Richard Messner of Duncannon, James Messner of Cogan Station, Robert Messner of Reading, and Donald Messner of Montoursville; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Kaufman Funeral Home, 2102 Northway Road, with the Rev. Ronald O. Doan, her pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10:30 a.m. till the time of the service. The family will provide the flowers. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made in her name to Faxon-Kenmer United Methodist Church, Williamsport, PA 17701.3
