David Mutschler was born on 28 March 1812. He was the son of Mathäus Mutschler and Margaretha Heid. David Mutschler has also been reported to have been born 26 February 1813. He married, at age 22, Sarah Entz, age 21, daughter of John Entz and Catherine Götz, on Thursday, 26 March 1835. David Mutschler died on 21 January 1893 at Hepburn Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 80 years, 9 months and 24 days. He was buried in the Balls Mills Cemetery, located in Balls Mills, Hepburn Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.
