Ruth M. Hausman was born on 14 January 1919.2,1 She married Earl H. Jarrett, son of Lewis Franklin Jarrett and Esther Clara Sholder, circa 1939.1 Ruth M. Hausman died on 25 March 2000 at Our Lady of Mercy Life Care Center, Schenectady, Schenectady County, New York, at age 81 years, 2 months and 11 days.2,1 She was buried in the Memory Gardens, located in Albany, Albany County, New York.1
She was widowed at age 63 by the death of Earl on 12 November 1982.3,1 Her obituary was published on 26 March 2000 in the The Times Union, printed in Albany, Albany County, New York. Her obituary stated:
GUILDERLAND -- Ruth M. Jarrett, 81, of O'Kara Drive, died Saturday, March 25, 2000 at Our Lady of Mercy Life Care Center following a brief illness.
Mrs. Jarrett was the wife of the late Earl Jarrett, who died in 1982.
Survivors include two daughters, Leslie King-VanArnam of Voorheesville and Barbara Chiarello Little of Altamont; three grandsons, Mark Jarrett-Chiarello of Altamont and Griffin and Tyler King of Voorheesville; one sister, Joan C. Palmer of Loudonville.
She was predeceased by a sister, Imogene Dederick of New Jersey.
A private service will be held at Memory Gardens in Colonie at the convenience of the family. At the request of the family, contributions may be made to the Western Turnpike Rescue Squad, 1853 Western Avenue, Albany, NY 12203.1
