David Benjamin Roupp

     David Benjamin Roupp was born on 1 April 1946. He was the son of Donald Leslie Roupp and Beulah Fay Paulhamus. David Benjamin Roupp married June Ann Zink. David Benjamin Roupp died on 26 December 2005 at age 59 years, 8 months and 25 days.
     His obituary was published on 28 December 2005 in the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. His obituary stated:

     David B. Roupp, age 58, of Mountain View Estates in Avis, died Monday, Dec. 26, 2005 at his residence.

     He was born in Salladasburg April 1, 1947, a son of Donald L. and Beulah F. Paulhamus Roupp.

     He was married Dec. 21, 1966 to the former June A. Zinck, who survives. They recently celebrated their 39th wedding anniversary.

     He was an Army veteran of Vietnam and was employed 33 years at the Jersey Shore Steel Co.

     He enjoyed being with his wife, kids, grandchildren and family. He also enjoyed hunting, being outdoors, cooking, playing on his tractor and his dog, Sarah.

     Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Tammy (Randall) Reed of Gainesville, Ga., Penny (Thomas) Swank of Lock Haven; a son, Donald (Billie) Roupp of Avis; six grandchildren, Randa and Sophie Reed, Annabell Swank, Hannah Roupp, Brandon and Salora Roupp; three brothers, Donald Roupp of N.Y., Steve Roupp of Jersey Shore and Carl Roupp of Cogan Station; four sisters, Dorothy Confer of Rauchtown, Eileen Brown of Trout Run, Jean Willits of Antes Fort and Betty Brown of Punxatawney.

     He was preceded in death by a brother, Torrence V. Roupp and his son, David B. Roupp Jr. on Aug. 4, 2005.

     David’s Life Celebration will begin with a visitation on Thursday, Dec. 29 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Rearick-Carpenter Funeral Home, "A Life Celebration Home," 1002 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore, followed at 11 a.m. with services led by the Rev. Malcolm Benton of the Avis United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Quiggle Cemetery, Steam Valley.
