Abraham Polhemius was born on 20 March 1758 at Alexandria Township, Hunterdon County, New Jersey Colony, America. He was the son of Daniel Polhemius and Willemtje Kipp. Abraham Polhemius was baptized, at age 1 year, 2 months and 14 days, on Sunday, 3 June 1759 at Dutch Church, Sixmile Run, Somerset County, New Jersey Colony, America. He married Sarah Dalrymple, daughter of James Dalrymple and Ereminah [—?—], in 1788. Abraham Polhemius died on 26 April 1836 at Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 78 years, 1 month and 6 days.
