Frederick E. Santschi was born on 22 February 1900.1,2 He was the son of Peter Santschi and Annie E. Zinck. Frederick E. Santschi married, at age 27, Kathryn Estella Blemly, age 25, daughter of George Franklin Blemly and Regina Barbara Miller, on Wednesday, 8 February 1928.2 Frederick E. Santschi died on 8 January 1971 at Lock Haven Hospital, Lock Haven, Clinton County, Pennsylvania, at age 70 years, 10 months and 17 days.1,2 He was buried on 11 January 1971 in the Wildwood Cemetery, located in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. The funeral service was officiated by Reverend Paul E. Gordon.2
Frederick E. Santschi was employed by Bethlehem Steel Company.2 As of January 1971, Frederick E. Santschi and Kathryn Estella Blemly lived at RD #1, Cogan Station, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.2 His obituary was published sometime in January 1971 in the local paper, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. His obituary stated:

Services will be held Monday for Frederick E. Santschi, 70, of Cogan Station RD 1, who died Friday, January 8, 1971, in Lock Haven Hospital four days after he was in a one car accident near Lock Haven. Mrs. Doris Kissell, Clinton County coroner, said Mr. Santschi died of head injuries after his car crashed into guard rails on Route 220, half a mile west of Mill Hall in Bald Eagle Township. A retired Bethlehem Steel Company employee, he was a member of Lycoming Centre Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are his wife, the former Kathryn Blemly; two daughters, Mrs. James Calvert and Mrs. William Shepard, both of Cogan Station RD 2; two brothers, Charles C., of Cogan Station RD 2, and Miles E., of Salladasburg; two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Goodall, of Duboistown, and Mrs. Emma Norgagony, of this city, and seven grandchildren.
Services Monday at 1:30 p.m. will be held in the Knight funeral home with his pastor, the Rev. Paul E. Gordon, officiating. Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery. Friends may call Monday at the funeral home from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the services.2 According to the Social Security Administrations Death Index Frederick's last known residence was Cogan Station, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1
