     James Arvel Rippy was born on 17 January 1898 at Richmond, Ray County, Missouri. He married, at age 22, Mabel Clarice Yoakum, age 21, daughter of Moses Edward Yoakum and Margaret Ann Clark, on Sunday, 26 December 1920 at Ray County, Missouri. James Arvel Rippy died on 14 December 1978 at age 80 years, 10 months and 27 days. He was buried in the Independent Order of Odd Fellows Cemetery, located in Marionville, Lawrence County, Missouri.
