Max Richard Shook was born on 7 November 1915 at Bryan, Williams County, Ohio.1 He was the son of Paul Stillman Shook and Dorothy Elizabeth Schuch. Max Richard Shook married, at age 25, Mary Ann Foster, age 22 on Saturday, 6 September 1941 at Vinton, Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana. Max Richard Shook died in July 1980 at Defiance, Defiance County, Ohio, at age 64 years and 7 months.1
