Clara Irene Bixler was born on 15 May 1881 at Carroll, Greene Township, Clinton County, Pennsylvania.2,1,3,4 She was the daughter of Henry Bixler and Clara Critz.4 Clara Irene Bixler married, at age 18, Harry Ellsworth Sholder, age 20, son of Charles Emanuel Sholder and Mary Anna Kinley, on Thursday, 29 June 1899 at Elmira, Chemung County, New York.2,4 Clara Irene Bixler died on 30 June 1975 at Jersey Shore, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 94 years, 1 month and 15 days.1,3,4 She was buried on 2 July 1975 in the Buchanan Baptist Church Cemetery, located in Old Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. The funeral service was officiated by Reverend Charles F. Himes.3,4

Clara Irene Bixler appears in family photograph of Harry, Clara, Verna and Floyd Sholder circa 1915. She appeared on the census of 3 May 1940 at Old Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Her obituary was published on 30 June 1975 in the local paper, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Her obituary stated:
Mrs. Clara I. Sholder, 94, of Williamsport RD 2, died at 6:30 a.m. today, Monday, June 30, 1975, at Lysock View, where she had been admitted last week. She was the widow of Harry Sholder.
She was born in Carroll, Clinton County, on May 15, 1881, a daughter of Henry and Clara Critz Bixler.
Mrs. Sholder was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church.
Surviving are a son, Floyd, of Williamsport RD 2; a daughter Mrs. Verna Bennett, also of Williamsport RD 2, 14 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and 22 great-great grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Knight's, 1914 Memorial Avenue, with the Rev. Charles F. Himes, a retired United Methodist minister officiating. Bural will be in Buchanan Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.4 According to the Social Security Administrations Death Index Clara's last known residence was Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1
