     Roscoe Suttley Sholder was born on 5 September 1884.6,5 He was the son of Charles Emanuel Sholder and Mary Anna Kinley.1 Roscoe Suttley Sholder married Verna V. Reeser circa 1915. Roscoe Suttley Sholder died on 30 May 1965 at Daytona Beach, Volusia County, Florida, at age 80 years, 8 months and 25 days.5,7 He was buried on 3 June 1965 in the Green Lawn Memorial Park, located in Montgomery, Clinton Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. The funeral service was officiated by Reverend Ronald E. Bowersox.3
     Roscoe Suttley Sholder was known as Ross in the 1892 History of Lycoming County.1 He appeared on the census of April 1910 in the household of Joseph Bastian and Elizabeth Sholder at Kane, 3rd Ward, McKean County, Pennsylvania. As of 1915, Roscoe Suttley Sholder lived at 113 Academy Street, Williamsport, Pennsylvania.2 He was a carpenter in 1915 at Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.2 He and Verna V. Reeser appeared on the census of 3 January 1920 at Williamsport, 2nd Ward, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. His obituary was published on 1 June 1965 in the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. His obituary stated:

     Roscoe Sholder - Word has been received that Roscoe Sholder, 83, a former resident of South Williamsport, died Sunday, May 30, 1965, at the home of his son, William, of South Daytona Beach, Fla.

     His son is the only survivor.

     The funeral will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Noll's, 1 East Central Avenue, South Williamsport. The Rev. Ronald E. Bowersox, pastor of Grace Evangelical United Brethren Church, South Williamsport, will officiate. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park.

     Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 10 a.m. until time of the service.3 According to the Social Security Administrations Death Index Roscoe's last known residence was Lafayette County, Florida.5
