Henry L. Sholder1,2,3

     Henry L. Sholder was born on 10 January 1870.4 He was the son of Christian Sholder and Leah Sechrist.1 Henry L. Sholder married, at age 23, Nettie Rae Fullerton, daughter of Samuel D. Fullerton and Mary Johnson, on Thursday, 27 July 1893 at Oak Grove, Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, by the Reverend L. C. Rutter.5,3 Henry L. Sholder died on 17 November 1951 at age 81 years, 10 months and 7 days. He was buried in the Wildwood Cemetery, located in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.
     He appeared on the census of 11 June 1880 in the household of Christian Sholder and Leah Sechrist at Old Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. As of 1900, Henry L. Sholder and Nettie Rae Fullerton lived at 31 Webb Street, Newberry, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.6 Henry L. Sholder was a dairyman in 1905. He and Nettie Rae Fullerton appeared on the census of 19 April 1910 at Old Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Lewis Franklin Jarrett always told the below story of Henry.

     On every Sunday he went to Church every Sunday going to Church with a matched pair of 'black Stallions and a very shiny buggy. Lewis also said that he was real proud of this as everybody loaded for him on Sundays. Great grandson Ken, also remembers being at Henry's farm in Williamsport when he was a very small boy.
Henry L. Sholder and Nettie Rae Fullerton appeared on the census of 22 January 1920 at Old Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. As of 1935, Henry L. Sholder and Nettie Rae Fullerton lived in Voorheesville, Albany County, New York. Henry L. Sholder appears in family group photograph circa 1939.7

Sholder.
