     Mary Elizabeth Wilcox was born on 22 November 1914 at Darke County, Ohio. She was the daughter of Laman Wilcox and Mary M. Monks. Mary Elizabeth Wilcox married, at age 25, Lowell Bernard Bemis, age 25 on Saturday, 15 June 1940. Mary Elizabeth Wilcox died on 8 June 2006 at Union City, Randolph County, Indiana, at age 91 years, 6 months and 17 days.
     She was widowed at age 85 by the death of Lowell on 14 July 2000.
