Ray Yoakum was born on 20 February 1901 at Georgeville, Ray County, Missouri. He was the son of Alvis Vernus Yoakum and Mahala Elizabeth Hollingsworth. Ray Yoakum married Beatrice Hatfield, daughter of Vernon Foster Hatfield and Julia Ann Mohn, circa 1926. Ray Yoakum died on 14 September 1980 at Hamilton, Caldwell County, Missouri, at age 79 years, 6 months and 25 days.
