Reuben Balinger was born on 19 April 1839 at Darke County, Ohio.1 He was the son of Jesse Balinger and Elizabeth Fetter.1 Reuben Balinger married, at age 29, Elizabeth Zimmerman, age 19 on Tuesday, 23 March 1869 at Miami County, Ohio.2 Reuben Balinger died on 17 March 1914 at Shelby County, Ohio, at age 74 years, 10 months and 26 days.1 He was buried in the Brookside Cemetery, located in Hardin, Shelby County, Ohio.1
