     Roy Updegraff was born on 21 August 1920 at York County, Pennsylvania.1,2 He was the son of Thomas Updegraff and Grace Miller.1 Roy Updegraff married, at age 26, Ruth L. Adams, age 19, daughter of Willis L. Adams Sr., on Saturday, 14 June 1947 at Lutherville, Maryland.1 Roy Updegraff died on 19 August 1993 at age 72 years, 11 months and 29 days.2
     He appeared on the census of 22 April 1930 in the household of Thomas Updegraff and Grace Miller at York, York County, Pennsylvania. Roy Updegraff was in military service between 12 August 1942 and 10 February 1946.1 He was a truck driver circa 1970.1 As of 1978, Roy Updegraff and Ruth L. Adams lived at RFD #1, York, Pennsylvania.1 As of 1993, Roy Updegraff and Ruth L. Adams lived at 3617 Bull Road, York, Pennsylvania.
