     George Updegraff was born circa 1842.1 He was the son of Samuel Updegraff and Sophia [—?—].1 George Updegraff died on 28 January 1862 at Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky.1
     George moved to Seneca County, Ohio. Mustered in to Company D, 49th Ohio Infnatry on 14 Aug 1861 in Tiffin, Ohio as a Private. Sent to the hospital in Louiseville, Kentucky on 2 January 1862.1
