Viola P. Brucklacher, 88, died peacefully at the Rose View Center nursing home, Friday, June 1, 2007. Until her recent illness, she lived in the assisted-living community at Rose View Court in Williamsport.

Viola later worked as a registered nurse at the Soldiers and Sailors Hospital in Wellsboro, the Muncy Valley Hospital, and the State Correctional Institution in Muncy.
In later years, macular degeneration destroyed much of Viola’s vision, but she became an avid reader of audio books that she received from the Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped in Philadelphia and the Lycoming County Library System. Viola will be sadly missed by her family and by her many friends at Rose View Court.
