Alice Mary Lovell

Alice Mary Lovell was born on 25 October 1872. She was the daughter of Henry Aquilla Lovell and Nancy Martin Smith. Alice Mary Lovell married, at age 24, David Kiess, age 27, son of Joseph Kiess and Eva Maria Wurster, on Wednesday, 17 March 1897.1 Alice Mary Lovell died on 4 May 1936 at Anthony Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 63 years, 6 months and 9 days. She was buried on 7 May 1936 in the Woodward Township Cemetery, located in Woodward Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.2
She appeared on the census of 10 June 1880 in the household of Henry Aquilla Lovell and Nancy Martin Smith at Woodward Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Her obituary was published sometime in May 1936 in the local paper, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Her obituary stated:
Mrs. Alice M. Kiess, 63, widow of David Kiess, of Anthony Township, died at 8:30 o'clock Monday morning at her home. Surviving are three brothers, Wilbur, Jasper and Emory Lovell; a sister, Mrs. Paul Dauler, all of Linden R.D; five nephews and four nieces. Funeral Services will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the home, with interment in Emery Cemetery, Woodward Township.3
