     Ruth D. Brucklacher was born on 17 April 1904 at Balls Mills, Hepburn Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.2,1 She was the daughter of Charles T. Brucklacher and Ada Elizabeth Dennison.1 Ruth D. Brucklacher died on 27 July 2000 at her residence, Cogan Station, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 96 years, 3 months and 10 days.2,1 She was buried on 31 July 2000 in the Balls Mills Cemetery, located in Balls Mills, Hepburn Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. The funeral service was officiated by Reverend James R. Sunderland.1
     Her obituary was published on 28 July 2000 in the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Her obituary stated:

     Ruth D. Brucklacher, 96, of 60 Academy Road, Cogan Station, died Thursday, July 27, 2000, at home.

She retired in 1970, after 38 years as an elementary school teacher, teaching at the former Maple Springs one-room school, and in five different townships. She taught art for 13 years in the Montoursville School District. She was a 1925 graduate of Williamsport High School. She was a 1932 graduate of the former Mansfield State Teachers College. She attended Dickinson Junior College and Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.

She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association. She was a former member of the Dunkard Church Museum. She was a life-long member of the Balls Mills United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday school. She enjoyed calligraphy, canning, gardening, arts and crafts.

Born, April 17, 1904, in Balls Mills, she was a daughter of Charles and Ada Dennison Brucklacher.

Surviving are, a sister, Margaret Davis of Cogan Station; four nieces; 11 nephews; 38 great-nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers, Edward, Merle, and Andrew; and two sisters, Carrie M. Maggs and Harriet Brucklacher.

The funeral will be at 11 p.m. Monday in the church, with her pastor, the Rev. James R. Sunderland, officiating. Burial will be in the Balls Mill Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Spitler’s, 733 Broad St., Montoursville, and 10 to 11 a.m. Monday in the church. The family will provide flowers.1
