Johann Friedrich Gsell1

     Johann Friedrich Gsell was born on 17 September 1679 at Tübingen, Schwarzwaldkreis, Württemberg.2 He was the son of Dominicus Gsell and Anna Katharina Pfanner.2 Johann Friedrich Gsell married, at age 33, Anna Maria Neuffer, daughter of Joachim Ludwig Neuffer, on Tuesday, 18 July 1713 at Tübingen, Schwarzwaldkreis, Württemberg.2 Johann Friedrich Gsell married, at age 40, Juilia Sophia Brandhagen, daughter of Marx Brandhagen and Dorothea Sophie Reiss, on Tuesday, 27 August 1720 at Tübingen, Schwarzwaldkreis, Württemberg.2 Johann Friedrich Gsell died on 23 November 1733 at Tübingen, Schwarzwaldkreis, Württemberg, at age 54 years, 2 months and 6 days.2
     He held many positions between 1710 and 1732 He was a "Handelsmann" or tradesman, the later he became the "Ober-Accisor" [Chief Tax-Collector and a Gerichtsverwandter [Court member].2
He was a councillor of the city of Tübingen between 1726 and 1731. He also had a seat in the judgement of the city from 1732 to 1733.2 As of circa 1728, Johann Friedrich Gsell lived at Am Holzmarkt 3, Tübingen, Schwarzwaldkreis, Württemberg.2
