George Worley Updegrove was born on 8 January 1905.2 He was the son of Albert Richard Updegrove and Mary Agnes Gartland. George Worley Updegrove married Pearl Clauser circa 1924. George Worley Updegrove died on 11 August 1994 at age 89 years, 7 months and 3 days.2
His obituary was published on 14 August 1994 in the Harrisburg Patriot, printed in Harrisburg, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. His obituary stated:
George W. Updegrove, 89, of 300 Ramsey Place, Fairview Twp., died Thursday at his home.
He was a retired salesman for Hostetter Construction Co., Camp Hill, and was a member of St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church, New Cumberland.
Surviving are a son, George "Pete" E. Updegrove Jr. of Ocala, Fla., and five grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10: 30 a.m. Thursday in his church. Burial will be in Mechanicsburg Cemetery.
Viewing will be from 9 to 10 a.m. at the Myers Funeral Home, Mechanicsburg.1 According to the Social Security Administrations Death Index George's last known residence was New Cumberland, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania.2
