     Edmund Simmons Whitaker was born on 10 April 1838.1 He was the son of George Price Whitaker and Eliza Ann Simmons. Edmund Simmons Whitaker married Mary McFarland. Edmund Simmons Whitaker died on 13 December 1898 at age 60 years, 8 months and 3 days.1 He was buried Saint Mark's Episcopal Cemetery, Perryville, Cecil County, Maryland.1
