Thomas P. Bodnar, 69, of 68 S. Main St., Hughesville, died Sunday, April 29, 2001 at the Muncy Valley Hospital. Born March 28, 1932 in Mt. Carmel, PA, he was the son of John and Helen Nacewicz Bodner. He is the widower of the former Jean E. Entz, who died in 1995.
He retired from the U.S. Army and then worked for the PA State Board of Assistance. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, was a Korean and Vietnam War veteran, and a member of the Eugene Grafius American Legion Post 104 in Montoursville.
He is survived by a son, Thomas P. Bodnar Jr., of Muncy; 2 daughters, Valerie J. Horrocks, Maryville, Tenn., and Deborah A. Bausinger of Montoursville; 1 sister, Rita Wagner of Enola, PA; 1 grandson, Alexander James Horrocks; and 3 step-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 100 Walnut St., Montoursville, with his priest, the Rev. Thomas P. Shoback officiating. Burial will be in Twin Hills Memorial Park. Military rites will be accorded by the Korean War Veterans. Friends may call at Spitlers, 733 Broad St., Montoursville, Wednesday from 7-9 p.m.
