Elma Pearl Bower

     Elma Pearl Bower was born on 9 December 1885 at Rose Valley, Gamble Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of John Frederick Bower and Emma Ulmer. Elma Pearl Bower married, at age 24, Charles Wesley Waltz, age 24, son of Simeon Waltz and Christina Heim, on Wednesday, 8 June 1910. Elma Pearl Bower died on 12 November 1951 at Knight-Confer Funeral Home, Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 65 years, 11 months and 3 days.1 She was buried on 15 November 1951 in the Wildwood Cemetery, located in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1

Mrs. Elma Pearl Waltz, 65, of Salladasburg RD 1, died suddenly at 8:30pm Monday, November 12, 1951, while on a visitation at a Williamsport Funeral Home. Born December 9, 1885, at Rose Valley, she was a daughter of John F. and Emma Ulmer Bower. She was a member of the State Road Evangelical United Brethren Church.

She is survived by her husband, Charles W. Waltz; a son Howell L., at home; two grandchildren; two sisters, Miss Alice Bower, this city, and Mrs. C. M. Ringler, Trout Run, and two brothers, Lawrence S. Bower and Boyd L. Bower, both of Trout Run.

Services will be held at 1:30pm Thursday at the Funeral Home, 1912 Memorial Avenue, with the Rev. H. S. Entz, pastor of the Lycoming Charge of the EUB Church, officiating. Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery.
